When I am on my deathbed and they ask me what my biggest regret in life was, I will say that I was not at my local neighborhood bar when Matt Smith and Karen Gillan dropped by for a beer and to sign the TARDIS bathroom.

Favorite Television of 2011 - #5: Doctor Who
I don’t know if you can tell, but I really like Doctor Who, guys. Even though this series wasn’t really my favorite (the Doctor’s death plotline got a little convoluted and the last episode was a bit anticlimactic), ‘The Doctor’s Wife’ is easily my new all-time favorite episode. And when it comes down to it, there’s really not another show that inspires the kind of giddy happiness you get when you realize it’s Saturday and you’ve got a new Who to look forward to (or when you’re infinitely more excited for the Christmas special than you are for Christmas itself!)

Can we all agree that we should all just forget this hairstyle ever happened and never revisit it again?

Can we just for a moment appreciate this Blingee I made for a Welcome post over at MoA because guys I really think I’ve outdone myself this time. This might even be better than gangsta Sherlock.

You know, the Sally Lockhart movies are fine and dandy and everything, but I really just want these two to get their own detective TV show spinoff.

Okay, I’m a couple days late on this but: Congratulations to these suave BAMFs on their BAFTA nominations!
PS. I do not envy the British Academy members who must choose between Benedict and Matt. I’ve been trying to figure out who I would vote for since I heard about the nominations.. and I still don’t know. That is a VERY HARD DECISION!

In honor of yesterday’s premiere (which also happens to be the episode these titles were made for!) I’m posting this one last time! You will never see them again, I promise!

Here’s a brilliant clip from the most recent Hostful episode of the Nerdist podcast with Chris Hardwick discussing the new Doctor Who episodes and his adventures with the cast at the NYC screening. Also stay tuned for a bonus Sherlock tidbit!

"You’ll never get bored with a baffled genius turning up and saving the day with a toaster and a ball of string being chased by a giant robot that breathes fire and talks with the voice of a calculator,” he says with a smile. “On a show that’s not bound by space, logic, time or genre."
